So you've upgraded or purchased a new computer or laptop with Microsoft Windows Vista on and you can't find Outlook Express email client.
Where has it gone?
Its been replaced by Windows Mail.
You can find it in the list of programs. Its part of the standard installation of windows vista. The interface and setup is very similar to Outlook Express and you can import your emails and setting from Outlook Express into Windows Mail.

where can i see my mails
Ultimate One replies:
Carolina, within the Windows Mail application if you look down the left side within the local folders tree you will see the inbox. Left click on Inbox and your emails should now be visible in the message pane. If the inbox is empty then you will need to import any other emails from your old email client ( perhaps Microsoft Outlook Express ) into Windows Mail.

This has probably been asked a million times before, but how can I get my addressess out of Outlook Express and into Windows Mail?
Ultimate One replies:
Thanks for your question Kim. First you need to find the file which stores your contacts, Outlook Express generally stores contacts in a .wab file. Perform a search on your old computer, by file name for *.wab which will locate all Windows Address Book files. Once you've found the file, copy it across to your new Windows Vista computer. Then you need to import the file into Windows Contacts by going Start->All Programs->Windows Contacts Then select Import from the toolbar.
