starting windows xp in safe mode

To start Microsoft Windows XP (Home or Professional) in safe mode is a very easy process.

1. Power down the computer or laptop running Windows XP.
2. Press the power button to power on the computer or laptop running Windows XP.
3. After the BIOS screen press the F8 key located in the top centre of your keyboard.
4. You will be presented with the startup menu.
5. Use the arrow keys to move the selected option to Safe Mode and when highlighted press the return key.
6. The computer or laptop will now boot into safe mode.
7. You can restart the computer in normal mode by simply restarting the computer or laptop.
