Review on free antivirus and firwall products

When a virus infects your computer it can cause it to operate erratically, slow down or become unusable, to prevent this from happening there is a few free anti-virus and firewall products you can download and use. Below we have reviewed a few of these products that we have used in the past.

AVG is an anti-virus software application that detects unwanted files on you computer and will remove them in the best way suited. AVG includes a free E-mail scanner that will scan all incoming E-mails for malicious code. AVG has recently added a spyware removal tool, which will remove any spyware on your computer. AVG has real time updating so it will always update itself regularly, the updates are recommended as they update the virus database so, AVG can scan for the latest viruses.

Avast is also an anti-virus product, it removes any unwanted files from your computer and has real time updating so it can keep up to date with the latest viruses and remove them as soon as your computer is infected. Avast includes an anti-spyware tool that will remove any spyware that may of been downloaded from the Internet. Avast also includes an anti-rootkit tool to prevent anyone gaining unwanted access to your computer and taking control of your PC.

ZoneAlarm is a firewall that stops hackers from discovering and gaining access to your computer through unsecured ports. At the time of writing there is no version of ZoneAlarm that can be used on any 64bit version of windows.
