outlook express always loads at startup

Its annoying, you notice that Outlook Express always loads when you start your computer or laptop.

We have seen this reported since windows xp was updated to service pack 2 ( sp2 ) and also just from some points onwards.

The chances are that if you have this problem you have either got outlook express in your start up configuration ( check msconfig -> startup tab and look for msimn.exe )

OR

You are running a Sony Laptop.

If you are running a Sony Laptop the problem is another program called hcontrol.exe which is launching outlook express. Load msconfig -> startup tab and uncheck hcontrol.exe ( it may also be listed as hcontrol ) and click apply then close. Click the restart button when msconfig exits.

You will now find the outlook express does not load when windows xp starts, saving loading time during startup and your sanity.
