So you need a free firewall for windows vista?

ZoneAlarm firewall will work with Microsoft Windows Vista ( ultimate, business, home premium and home basic ) 32 bit version.

The good news is there is a free version available (but its a bit tricky to find over their paid-for products)

Visit the ZoneAlarm website vista free firewall here, then click Home & Office on the left hand navigation menu, then ZoneAlarm which will reveal a download now button on the right hand side.

The download is an installation program which downloads the latest version of the free firewall software. The installer is very informative and after a reboot the firewall will be up and running on your vista computer or laptop within a couple of minutes.

Note that the free version of ZoneAlarm is for individual and not-for-profit charitible useage. We can confirm that we have tested the free version of ZoneAlarm firewall software on all the windows vista operating systems.

ZoneAlarm free firewall does not work on 64-bit installations of Microsoft Windows Vista.
